I think the LYS likened the slip stitch scarf pattern to a stained glass window because when we were learning the pattern, the main color was a dark one and the contrast one was a mixed, lighter one. I switched it up a bit for the blanket b/c the baby already received a large, garter stitch blue blanket and his room was blue.
