We interrupt your regularly scheduled blog post to make an important announcement!
Little Carter, my great nephew, was born last night at 9.30pm Eastern! He’s quite the heavy weight at 9lbs 8 oz and has a full head o’ hair. Just like his great auntie! Okay, maybe more like his Dad (love you, Josh!). So yes, I’m a great aunt at 27 and my mom’s a great grandmother at 72. Which makes my oldest sister a grandmother. I think this is the start of baby fever in our family.
Oy, seeing that in print makes me feel old.

Ho’omaka’i to you and your ohana! Hope to see a pic of Carter in that snuggly coccoon you had made for him.
I must admit to being a bit confused at the beginning there. I thought I’d got my blogs mixed up as I was sure you were not old enough to be a great auntie, but obviously you are! I’ve only just become an auntie and I’m way older than you. But no matter if you are great or just regular like me, there is nothing like getting a new nephew or niece is there? Congratulations to your family, may the little one always be clothed in wool LOL.
