This week is the last Junebug Days week! I can’t believe Independence Day is next week. Summer just began but at the same time, it feels half over.
Most of us use cotton yarn in the summer and while I’m not a big fan of it, I do love the fish dishcloth that I made a year ago:

You can’t tuna harmonica, but you can tuna fish!
Oddly, it photographed much less intensely than it looks in person. Now is much faded but it’s been used and washed and dried for a year now. I’m quite pleased with how the Peaches and Cream yarn has held up. I use this mostly as a pot holder/trivet and less as a scrubber though. I prefer to use sponges for that and for wiping up messes. I think I wouldn’t mind making more pot holders and stuff out of this yarn, and that’s saying a lot since I tend to dislike the feel of most cotton yarns.

that fish cloth is adorable! i’ve actually purchased that same color and brand just a few days ago, something that’s as both adorable and useful as a fishy shaped washcloth sounds like the best thing it could transform to.
