A few weeks ago, I posted about the Elegant Oriole I was working on. Well that week I finished it but I’ve been trying to space out my FOs cos I get more blog fodder that way. *wink* Here she is!

Crewel Work Oriole

Eleganza Extravaganza

It’s so pretty. I have to get a nice frame for it, though. The little bit of outlining really makes the whole thing pop and make it look like an elegant oriole. Husband kept petting the bird and saying ‘IT’S SO FLUFFY!’ He’s a big Despicable Me fan. Plus he thinks that I’m so cool and clever for knowing how to do this. I want to negate him but you know what? I am cool and clever! And so are you.

For more FOs, check out Tami’s blog.

  1. You definitely are cool and clever, it looks amazing!

I too reserve FOs if I have more than one, just to spread them out a bit for when I don’t have any ;)

  2. Oh my YUM, that’s delicious! great job!

Also, I am liking what you’ve done with the place :-)

  3. That’s amazing! Great job!

  4. You are cool and clever, and it does look incredibly fluffy! You should consider framing options which allow that fluffiness to be accessed (perhaps a frame without the glass, sort of like a shadow box…?)

  5. That is beautiful!!!

  6. Wow! What a piece of art! It’s beautiful!

  7. You are very clever, this is truely beautiful!

  8. Cool and clever indeed. Very pretty

  9. It’s incredible! I think it definitely deserves a nice frame!

  10. My brain doesn’t even believe that you made that.
It is so awesome. You DEFINITELY have to frame it.
Wow. Seriously, ninja. Your skillz amaze.

  12. Amazing! I love all the detail, and want to see more pics once you get it framed!

  13. He’s so right – we all are cool and clever. The oriole is absolutely stunning. Should just be a few weeks until we start seeing them at the feeders. We usually get dozens of them from Spring to Fall. They really love Concord Grape Jelly, it seems :)

  14. Pretty! I would probably also sit there and pet the bird hehe :)

  15. This looks amazing! I’ve only ever done embroidery once when I was young. I’m sure this will look good displayed on your wall!

  16. You are cool and clever! I love your embroidery so much – I wish I had the eyesight and patience to do it myself!
