I’m currently knitting a very important gift. It’s for a new friend I made who’s cancer has returned and is going through chemo therapy for the second time. Please keep my friend in your prayers.
Yarns: Aussi Oasis Worsted in Pumpkin & Lamb’s Pride Worsted in Creme
Pattern: World War II Classic Watch Cap
Needles: Size US 7
I’m knitting this hat flat and then seaming it together. I chose the orange and white colors because those are his team’s colors.
I hope this cap brings my friend lots of luck and lots of comfort.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

The hat that won World War II will certainly put up a brilliant fight against cancer; your friend is lucky to have you and your warm, cheerful reminder of caring. My good thoughts go out for you both.
Your friend has all my good karma coming his/her way! Amazing that knitted stitches can include so many thoughts, wishes and prayers!
Praying for your friend! I’m sure the hat will be a huge help, as everything made with love is. Hang in there!
I’ll keep her in my thoughts. May your handknit cap of love and power kick her cancer’s tush!
I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. I hope everything goes well.
As a survivor, I know the recurrence is not news you or your friend wanted to hear. You and he both are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray he has the strength to kick cancer’s behind one more time.
Sorry about your friend’s relapse, best wishes and lots of luck to him. The cap looks great
I hope the cap brings comfort and sending prayers for a successful chemo round and long-term remission for your friend.
Best wishes to your friend. I’m sure he will love having a hat made just for him.
I think a handknit hat will bring your friend comfort, not only for the warmth and cosiness, but also from the fact that someone who cares knitted it for him. Wishing him all the best in his fight.
