Last night I casted on for a dropped stitch scarf with that handspun I bought in Texas.

I love the way it’s working up so far. I’m not using a set pattern, I’m just making things up as I go. The yarn feels nice if a little scratchy from the very subtle sparkle that’s spun with it. It’s very bouncy and once I’m done and I block it out, it will stretch out beautifully.

Since I’m sort of making this up on the fly, I think I’ll write up the pattern once I’m done. Ooh, my very first pattern!

Beautiful scarf! I love dropped-stitch patterns – so pretty and you get a lot of mileage out of that yarn (I made a dropped-stitch scarf that almost doubled in length when I blocked it). Can’t wait to see this finished.
Love those colours and the pattern you’re making up really shows the yarn off beautifully
Great colors in your yarn.. as a friendly unsolicited advice, I request you to write the pattern up as you knit. I’ve tried writing a pattern after I knit something out of my mind and have always struggled with recollecting what I did.
The dropped stitches really bring out colorway. Great decision to do that!
Ohh, that’s so pretty! I love the colors. And the pattern. And the yarn! I love handspun.
That is really pretty!! I love handspun yarn so much!
I love the colors in the yarn. So pretty! Aren’t drop stitch patterns fun?
