FO Friday: Owl Hat

Pattern: Who? By Penguin Purls

Yarn: Cascade 220 in Grey

Needle size: 8

I LOVE THIS PATTERN! This was a super fast knit. The chart and the written directions are easy to read and I was able to nicely space out the owls. I just wish I found buttons small enough to put on as eyes.

I like how fat they came out.

  1. Too cute! I have recently fallen in love with the owls sweater. This hat might be next on my list!

  2. Love the hat. I can sneak it into my list right?

  3. The owl sweater, or anything like it (even just the little square that has that owl pattern on it as a dishcloth) has to be one of my favorite patterns of all time. The hat is FABULOUS!

  4. Wow, I love this hat! I haven’t seen it before. The Owl sweater is in my Rav queue, but now I may have to add this hat!

  5. Very cute!! I love it!

  6. sam

I love the hat! I have seen the owls on a jumper before but never a hat, it looks great!

  7. I love that hat! It looks so warm and comfy, and the owls are adorable 😀

  8. That owl cable pattern is one of the many things that makes me wish I could knit, and your hat turned out beautifully. I love that grey.

  9. Very cute! I’ve got to add that one to my queue. : )

  10. That’s adorable! How about french knot eyes instead of buttons?

  11. Fantastic! Someday, I will get around to knitting from the Owls pattern collection. I just love it!

  12. At least you can add buttons whenever you want for the eyes. You never know when you might come across some you can use!

  13. Great hat. Harry Potter characters should have worn one.

  14. Nat

That’s a really snuggly looking hat, gorgeous!

  15. Looks great! Do you still need cabled hats now that you are in TN – I imagine the winters aren’t as brutal as in NJ…
