My Knitting and Crochet Time

Today’s the last post for Knitting and Crochet Blog Week. I’m a little sad to have the structure go but I am looking forward to taking tomorrow off from blogging.

Today’s topic is about my knitting and crochet time and space. What do I do when I sit down to knit? Well I’m usually parked in front of the TV. I like having the TV on as white noise to help me concentrate on my knitting and I’ve been able to burn through my Netflix Instant Queue this way.

So far I’ve watched:

  • All 102 episodes of “Fraggle Rock”
  • “Stripes” with Bill Murray
  • “The Young Victoria”
  • “My So-Called Life” (Jordan Catelano forever!)
  • “The Madness of King George”
  • “The Girl From Lover’s Lane” an early MST3k episode
  • “The Labyrinth”

Now I’m out of good things to watch while I’m knitting. I need another good TV show that doesn’t require much looking up. Suggestions?

  1. Hmm, I don’t watch much TV, but if you don’t listen to podcasts, you should check them out!

I just play them on my computer. Cast On by Brenda Dayne is a great one to start with.

  2. I like cooking shows!!! I don’t have to pay attention but it’s constructive noise :) Also, I really liked Young Victoria!

  3. How I Met Your Mother? I look up every now and then, but it’s funny! I also watch NCIS, but I find that requires a lot of looking up.

I suggested Wonderfalls earlier, but that involves looking up quite a bit.

  4. If I’m knitting something complicated, I can’t have background noise, but otherwise, I enjoy the radio or music.

  5. I love the music from the movie Garden State–awesome knitting soundtrack!

  6. oh man, they have Fraggle Rock on instant watch?? how did i NOT know this? i’m 100% with you on the netflix watching while knitting, love it! right now i’m making my way through the seasons of grey’s anatomy, don’t have to pay attention too much and that’s why i love it!
